I originally did this sketch for a story I had written.

"Pensive, Self-Portrait" - CL Christian
We had to do a four color palette self portrait for a college art class I took several years ago. I chose to do this one that I use for my Profile picture that my son choose when he was setting up my website & Facebook. My reference photo was from around the time my husband had gotten back from Viet Nam, and I was reflecting on all
the friends that we had lost during that war.

"Me & My Dolly" Theme: Self-Portrait - CL Christian
Sorry this isn't a self-portrait of me, but of my youngest grand daughter holding her favorite doll at Christmas.

Theme: Holiday, CL Christian
An oil painting of a cardinal that I call "Don't Ruffle my Feathers". I like using my original artwork for our annual Christmas card. Christmas is my favorite holiday.

Theme: Patterns & Texture, CL Christian
I haven't had time to create something new for this Theme, but I thought of animal skins, and how many different patterns & textures they have. Here is my rough ink sketch of an elephant using my artist's model. An elephant's skin is naturally wrinkled, and saggy.

"Flip Flops" © CL Christian, 2015. Since I grew up on a beach along the Texas Gulf Coast near Galveston, my favorite shoes were flip flops.

THEME: Clothes & Shoes "Gloria's Boots", CL Christian

#1 posting. I always loved to ride my pony as a child. I did these boots for a short story I will submit to 52 Weeks Flash Fiction, hence the splatter on the boots. Notice the letter "G" on the straps.

Favorite Meal, Valentine's Day Brunch, CL Christian
"Valentine's Day Brunch" © CLC Studio, 2014. In art class, we had to do a still life using underpainting & oil glaze. We had to paint what the instructor had set up, but I changed mine
by adding grapes & a carnation from a bouquet my husband had bought me.

Summer/Winter, Yellowstone Winter, CL Christian
Yellowstone Park is located at 7, 349 feet. The coldest
recorded temperature was -66F (-54C). You can see this bison’s breath as
he exhales while he roams the geyser basin in Yellowstone Park in
Wyoming near Old Faithful Inn.
