All Kinds of Trees: Losing leaves by Bev Baird

As I began sketching the tree against the blue background I thought of falling leaves. I had just purchased a placemat made of leaves and I cut one leaf off and used it to stamp leaves around the tree.

My end goal though, was to use this as the backdrop for a quote by Abraham Lincoln.

    1. Thanks Erika. I loved the placemat - only problem was it was heavy felt and absorbed too much of the paint. But that is a learning experience.
