Sketch - pen + watercolour
Not in flower at this time of year,
but we have some in our garden...a real pleasure
to see them when they appear and their scent is gorgeous.

Lovely, lovely sketches!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rose, I enjoyed drawing this :-)
DeleteThese make me want to get my ink pens out. Do you put the ink down first, then colour or the other way around?....Just curious as these look so fresh.
ReplyDeleteHi Maggie, I did a light pencil outline as a guide. Then did the watercolours, when they had dried I added the pen. I would sometimes approach it differently with pen then watercolour, just depends on how I feel at the time.
DeleteHyacinths always say spring to me, so it is nice to see them right now. Lovely!
