"Peanut Butter & Rice Cake and Soup for Lunch" Kitchen Lynn Cohen

I came home for lunch again today. I quickly made a peanut butter on rice cake using organic, Full Circle, chunky peanut butter and a Gluten Free, organic whole grain brown rice rice cake. Non GMO verified. LOL
Yes, all this is important to me.

I opened a can of Amy's organic vegetable and lentil soup. I started drawing while the soup was heating on the stove. (In the red pot I drew last)  I was eating the peanut butter and rice cake and had to make myself stop until I got it drawn so I could see the colors for the paint. I painted it and then finished eating it; then I painted the bowl of soup. The bowl is a hand thrown clay bowl I got from a classmate many years ago. I love it. It's thick and holds the heat well. The soup is good too. Now it's in my tummy as well.
I'm ready to return to work, fortified; and hope it lasts as my final is tonight at my ASL (American Sign Language) class! ;-) I plan on acing it!

I used Artist's Loft 08 black ink pen
Winsor & Newton watercolors

    1. Thanks Joan, what a fast response. I just posted this and you responded almost immediately. I just practiced my signing of my story AGAIN, and yes, if I don't go brain dead from stage fright I'll do fine. ;-)

  4. Mmm, nice little lunch. I used to buy the Full Circle brand but our store quit carrying it. I loved it because it was organic but not outrageously priced like most of the organic stuff. I believe non-GMO is very important, too, and really wish the government would enforce labeling. I don't think it will ever happen, though. How did the exam go?

  7. Is not it a little hurry to warm the foof, to sketch and write in your lunch time, Lynn! You are so effective! I don´t want to have any GMO -food either. Allthough you never know, what the ingredients content. I am a little suspicious. Nicely drawn too.

    1. Thanks Sirkka I have always been a quick draw(er)! (play on words here in cowboy speak, a quick draw is someone who draw their gun fast from its holster). I hope we can all have healthy food choices all of our lives.
