Next to my stove I have a pottery vase that holds many of my kitchen utensils that I might need in a hurry. There is a small strainer, a few spatulas, tongs, a soup ladle, a few pancake turners and a wooden spoon. I did this mostly as a continuous line sketch.

Very cool one liner Joan. I like the ceramic clay pot too. And the red spatuala and the blue & purple shadow!
ReplyDeleteThe utensil holder. We all have our own version of this. It's so cool to see what everyone uses in their own kitchen! I really like the splashes of red and blue. This is really nice! I've never tried a continuous line drawing.
ReplyDeleteLooks almost like mine. My daughter made my ceramic pot. Good job!
ReplyDeletecool process of sketching this joan and the pottery vase is lovely
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see that the utensils are the same here too...then I suppose cooking is too when you think about it. Lovely painting Joan.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. I like seeing how our kitchens, no matter where we are, are so similar.
ReplyDeleteI love that ceramic vase and this is a great way to use it.
ReplyDeleteLove your ceramic vase. Great drawing of your utensils Joan.:)
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun and interesting to see, that the utensilies, the way to use them, the kitchens, they are so personally formed, but in the bottom the same all over the world!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melisa, MeOfCourse, Cozycomfycouch, and Sirkka. We all have more in common than we think.
