Last nights dinner. I actually drew and painted and ate this all at the same time. Most of the food is eaten. Crazy I know, but I guess I am obsessed. Sorry the scanner is blurry on the left side. Hopefully it will cover up some of the write-os. ;-) Like typos.
The bowl is from several I picked up at a garage sale years ago. I still like them.
Prismacolor Bold
Prismacolor 08
Paperchase markers (2, old)
Gelly roll pen white (for trying to make the fork look silver)
Winsor & Newton watercolors
Nature Sketchbook 6 in. x 12 in. 130 lb. paper

Excellent multi-tasking, Lynn! I love the pattern on the bowl and how colorful it all is. I keep thinking I will sketch my meals but somehow forget and it them every time.
ReplyDeleteI know I kept eating too and before I knew it there was very little left to draw! LOL
DeleteI think for me eating and painting at the same time would be like trying to pat my dead with one hand and rub my tummy in a circle at the same time as we did as children. Never could do that. You have access to such a wide variety of fresh veg, it has to taste as good as it looks. Interesting painting, I like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jez. Yes I do create some crazy challenges for myself don't I? I like mixing it up and am quite good I think at multi-tasking.
DeleteWhen I draw at Tacos Jalisco, the Mexican restaurant where I go for lunch and to draw I often spill food on my page and just mix it in as more color/paint. It works for me. You are right that here in California we do get a lot of fresh vegetables and fruit all year round. Lots local, some imported.
I agree, multi-tasking. That's great. Your dinner looks delish! Thanks for the recipe. Nice plate too.:)
ReplyDeleteLynn I enjoy your food series. So healthy and it makes me hungry! More pls!
