People in Cafes, "Tacos Jalisco Folks", Lynn Cohen

It is my habit to eat and draw at Tacos Jalisco, a small family owned restaurant up the street from my office. I've been doing this for at least three years now. In the beginning I was very timid, but now it is nothing for me to choose the people at the very next table in front of mine to draw! I was drawn to the name/picture/advertising on the back of this guys shirt at first. Then drew his friends. The red border was done with a new Parallel calligraphy fountain pen. I have another one with black ink. They can be refilled. And I did the watercolors there too. Like I said I have become quite bold!

  2. Well done on capturing them so well. Keep up the great drawing. I challenged myself a while ago to draw in public. It's not anything I see anyone do at all here. I got a few strange looks but will do it again..

    1. Thanks Ann for noticing that. I do FEEL the confidence now. It is becoming as natural as breathing to me.

  4. I admire your loose style- I am tight as a tick when I draw and want to free up!
