Fruit, An apple, by Sirkka Jalava

It is a long time I have not been here. I am sorry for that, but I have had so much other duties here, that I have not had the energie to paint other things than those I have had to do.I have missed you all however and now I want to participate in the fruit-challenge at least with a one painting and here it comes: an apple on a plate with a fruit knife.
It is an acrylic painting ca 15x25cm in size.

  2. Thank you, Ann. Everything is ok here, it is only to continue with the execises. I am happy, that we not have any snow yet, not very cold either, but it is dark and the days are short. As they are by you too in any way. Glad you like my apple, I can not remember, when I have painted a fruit last time. But it is fun to do again. This autumn I have used acrylic colours more than usually.

  3. Nice work, Sirikka. The dark shadow under the plate and the apple make it pop.

  4. Sirkka, I love how your apple invites me to bite it; and the crockery is wishing it lived at my house!
Happy to have you contributing your wonderful art here once more. I understand you are busy; hope we get to see more of your art when you can.

    1. Thank you Joan, I have missed you too and I am glad to be here again participating in the challences. The apple was the nearest I had to paint. I have used much acrylic now, so it is acrylic although I like more watercolors.
