Flowers, Hepatica. Sirkka Jalava

Hepatica - one of the first wild flowers in the spring, in bloom in mars - april depending of how early the snow is melting and how the weather is, temperature a s o. Hepatica is very welcome  with its beautiful blue flowers in the springtime!

    1. jaguarish, oh you can enjoy all that the spring includes now! And we are going to a darker period now, to autumn and winter so slowly! it is very interesting. Do you have any spring flowers there in Australia? If there are you could perhaps sketch some of them?

    2. Good suggestion, Sirkka! I'll have to seek out some of those blossoming now. The weather here turns very quickly from winter (not very cold) to summer with only a brief pause for spring that is only noticed by people with allergies. :) It's actually confusing for plants here as they get transplanted from all over the world. Some of them continue to follow northern hemisphere cycles while others do follow the southern hemisphere seasons.
