Buildings around the world … The Barn at Queens Farm Cathy Gondek



I actually sat at Queens Farm in New York sketching this barn, as we went out there to help plan my daughter's wedding. 

 Then I gave her the watercolor as a wedding gift.   

The barn is at a working farm right in New York city, and her wedding photos have llamas and roosters.

I was happy with the barn but had no idea how to handle the greenery and rocks at the bottom.

    What a nice gift for your daughter. You did a lovely job on this. It that the farm near Douglaston and the LIE? I think I was there many years ago. Are you from NY? I live in Suffolk County.

      My daughter lives in Astoria. I am in Michigan but a frequent visitor to NYC. I think it is near the LIE, not sure where Douglaston is.
