While I was out and about today sketching, a magpie stopped by to check me out. Just as I began to sketch him, he flew away to investigate other interesting things. So this is half-reality and half-memory/imagination, otherwise all I'd have is one wing!

He's wonderful! He does look like he is ready to take off, the ink spatters complete the feeling of spontaneity and flight.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I love the feeling of spontaneity that you were able to achieve. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteLOL I hate when creatures don't cooperate...but then neither do people sometimes when you try to sketch them. I like the simplicity of this...it captures it well!
ReplyDeleteI get the feeling, that it is the magpie that has splashed ink spots on the paper.
