Wildlife, "Gentle Arcata Kitten", Lynn Cohen

This morning I drew this cat we met in Arcata, CA over the fourth of July on a mini vacation there, with
Uni Ball pen as a one line contour drawing, not lifting the pen start to finish from the paper ...
 
 
 
Then I added watercolors ...
 
 
She wasn't terribly wild, this little kitten, quite gentle in fact but curious and fun loving!
 Oops, I just noticed I forgot to include the whiskers on the right side of her little face. I was so relaxed while drawing this. A true trip into "the zone"! Wonderful way to start the day!

    I like doing contour drawings. Well done...the color really adds to it. I am glad you are putting your skool lessons into practice!

    S sweet drawing of a sweet little kitten. I did not notice that the right side whiskers not were there before you said it. The mind fills them there. Interesting drawing .
