Treasures and Mementos, An Ocarina by Joan Tavolott

My husband and I went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with my sister and brother-in-law a while ago. There were people selling all kinds of trinkets on the beach. I loved the sound of this little turtle-shaped ocarina. Of course the young man who sold it to me could make it sound lovely. When I blow into it the sound is more like a screeching cat. lol

  3. It's such a cute one! I love ocarinas and have several. None of mine look like turtles, though!

  7. Joan, you are so funny! Screeching cat or not, the painted instrument is colorful and well drawn and painted!

  8. Joan, nice job with the ocarina. The pyramid makes it feel timeless or very old.
