Daily Life "Tacos Jalisco Is A Fun Place to Draw People!" Lynn Cohen
As you know my daily life often takes me to Tacos Jalisco, the little family run Mexican restaurant down the street from my office for lunch on a work day. I sit and draw while I wait for my food to be served. (The Tommy Kane mentioned in the drawing is one of our awesome teachers at Sketchbook Skool and everyone is drawing him right now. He contacted me asking if he could put the sketch I did of him in his next book. Now he's opened that up to all the artist students and many have come forward with fantastic likenesses of him. I'll be so proud to be in his book! If you are not familiar with his art look for his book recently published called "An Excuse to Draw". He's amazing!)

Love the sketch! Congrats on being asked to be in the book!! Yay! I know Tommy's work. I think he is one of the NYC Urban Sketchers but I've never seen him.
ReplyDeleteWhat a dream it would be to sit next to him and watch him draw. He is all about slow and details. I'd love it. And such a nice genuine guy too.
