Another Challenge on Daily Paint Works, this time to do a painting which is a cross between Impressionism and Expressionism, Mid-ism? Anyway, I tried. I have no idea if I succeeded, but I just love this one. Much less detail than my realistic pet portraits. They provided the reference photo.

ReplyDeleteYou certainly do a fine job painting water that looks like moving water! I love everything about this painting, the people, the rocks, water, umbrellas! I am not educated enough in art to know about Impressionism and Expressionism so I'll leave that to the more educated to decide.

ReplyDeleteAll these wonderful places are really making me want to take a trip somewhere...anywhere! This is great and does have an impressionistic feel to it. Wonderful light and colors on the rocks, the water, the people and the umbrellas. I would be set for the day if I were there!
