TIME AWAY FROM HOME, WELSH SHEEP, JEZ EDEN
Joan's sketch of a Dingle Sheep reminded me of a sketching holiday in Wales a few years ago when I made this pencil sketch from life as the lazy sheep obligingly dozed.
Have you ever seen 'Henry Moore's Sheep Sketchbook' (pub.Thames and Hudson)? Wonderful pen sketches of the sheep that grazed outside his studio window. I just Googled: Henry Moore sheep sketches, and loads of his lovely sheep sketch images came up. Well worth a look, though I prefer looking at them in the book.
