haha.. thats an idea. we spend oodles keeping them fat too. :) wonderful job here.
ReplyDeleteThank you Chris.
DeleteFran, this is a wonderful sketch!!! It looks like he takes his responsibilities very seriously.
ReplyDeleteIt is part of his daily routine. We have a big kitchen window and it is fun to watch the birds and their little "pecking order" battles...who gets to eat first.
DeleteGreat job! We feed our hummingbirds.:) He looks like a busy man.
ReplyDeleteYep, that's about it.
DeleteFran, this is absolutely wonderful! I bet that looks just like your husband too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn. Yes it does resemble him quite a lot to the point that he does not like it. A profile shows too many bad features which he (and they say women are vain) does not like.
DeleteStunning work! I love this, colors and everything!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mia.
DeleteWonderful painting Fran - love it :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann!
Deletebeautiful painting Fran.. one of my fave of yours. your husband is very lovely. is this in watercolor?
ReplyDeleteThank you Elisa. He is a pretty good looking guy. This is almost entirely marker. My hubby, the house and bird feeder are mostly Copic markers. The foliage is water based marker (Crayola) dabbled with plain water which gives it a watercolor look.
Deleteoh Fran this looks so real as it is like a photo. Your painting is flawless.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was done from a photo. I trace the position and outline of objects and do the rest with color. There is also some ink outlining which I wish I had not done.
DeleteThis is a marvellous painting, and he looks a really pleasant fellow. It looks like a little haven in this section of the garden, and it's always a delight to watch the birds.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Fran! I love his gentle and intent manner while feeding the bird feeder. You've done it beautifully.
