"Kitchen" Onion by Elisa Choi

Eating raw onions have a lot of healthy benefits such as lowering blood sugar and even cholesterol. Mom says that onions are for oldies when I said I want to eat one. Dad loves eating raw onion and he will always have it prepared by mom and eat it together with our usual dinner food. Sis and Mom dislike the taste it leaves on their mouth but I like it especially in burrito. :)

Have a restful weekend everyone! It was fun sketching and enjoying art with you all.

  1. I love your beautifully painted red onion, Elisa. I like red onion in a salad raw. Not sure I could just eat it as one eats an apple whole; but in a salad yes! Glad to know all it's health benefits. Thanks for sharing!

  3. You have painted this onion so lovely, Elisa. I like it. But could not eat it raw... In a salad, yes, other vegs take away the strength of taste.

  10. Beautiful onion! I love raw onions. A little hot, a little sweet, a little bitter, all at once. and such a nice crunch! Here, we have the sweet Vidalia onions (named for Vidalia, Louisiana) which aren't hot at all and can be eaten like an apple, but I like all kinds.
