Welcome to my view of and over my kitchen sink counter top. Behind the sink, which I left out, you see an array of vases with flowers, a framed photo of my husband, bowls of fruit and other foods. Behind you see the fireplace, in the family room topped with a little English Taxi (husbands), a framed "25" he made me for our 25th wedding anniversary four years ago, a china Dalton Statue of a man holding two lambs that was my mom's, my grandmother's Chanukah Menorah in front of a copper plate from Israel I inherited from my aunt. Then the fish aquarium unused for fish for more years than I care to count, but which DH refuses to part with, now filled with my framed and unframed drawings and art quilts (art storage!); on the wall is a needlepoint with cat my mom did years ago and a print of a sailing vessel my DH loves.

All these kitchens we are seeing is a lot of fun. It's almost like we are in the kitchen. Your kitchen is very homey with your treasured items. Love your sketch.

ReplyDeleteWish it were gone, but every marriage has to have "something". This should be our 'worst thing' right? ;-))))
DeleteFabulous little details. The warm atmosphere shines through. The little vase of flowers is especially well drawn.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rainbow!
DeleteLooks like your kitchen is set up similar to mine in that the sink is facing the living area. Yes, it makes sense that you used a heavier line for things in the foreground. Lots of nice details and family memories!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa, glad to know it worked! And that we live similarly!
