Manuel working on his plants. A few years back, his sister threw in a lot of poppies and other to cheer his yard up. She doesn't live there but was visiting. That odd looking house is his garage/shed. Manuel doesn't really look like this but as I saw him tending to his garden, he appeared vital and energized and younger than his 80 years in life.
Have a wonderful day and hopefully we all got some needed rain here in California. Yay for the Gods!
Great glimpse into your neighbourhood. Love how you got the PPPP into the drawing :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann. I like incorporating PPPP into the drawing/sketches. Have a great day.:)
DeleteAwwww good for him. I hope I can still get out and tend my garden when I get that age. Cute illustration.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. I hope to see that age, it's coming fast. tee hee.
DeleteLove this young at heart man tending his wild and colorful garden you have depicted so well, Gloria!!!
ReplyDeleteManuel is a kind and generous person. Would you believe he is leaving his home to the woman who cares for him. I wish I worked for him. tee hee. Thanks for your nice comment. Have a great and sunny day.
DeleteHi Lynn. Yes he is still young at heart and I think we all are really. Have a great day. Thanks for your comment.
DeleteLove this of him tending the garden. It must have made him feel younger and that's why you made him look young. lol Nice job!
ReplyDeleteHi Joan. Perhaps that is why he was depicted as younger. He actually doesn't look like he is in his 80's. Thanks for the comment. Have a great day.
DeleteLove the bright colours, and good old Manual who is still able to bend and garden at 80! The poppies make me smile, they seem to have faces and determination to brighten the garden up - plus their jazzy white edges. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Jez. Hope all is good with you. Thank you. Yes, it is always good to see that vitality is important in our lives. Take care. Thanks.
