Close to Home, by Joan Tavolott

This is a painting of the yellow roses my husband, Jerry, bought me for Valentine's Day. They are already really drooping and didn't last for very long. Glad I was able to paint them while I could.
This is 8 x 10.

  2. Well, you have your lovely painting to keep for memories long after the flowers themselves have gone :-)

  3. What a lovely buket of roses. I love your painting of them. Good you painted them so you have them when flowers are gone. Beautiful!

  6. Thanks everyone! Yesterday I threw away all the roses except for two that still looked fairly fresh. I usually try to paint the flowers he gives me so they last longer. lol
