Close to home, Cris Marlow

This is very close to home. My back yard. I am starting a new journal of things close to home and  I started with this gate thru which so much goes on. The sheep last summer and the Turkeys that took over for awhile is a compilation in one pix since I didn't do a journal last year I wanted to start with them. I hinted at the chain link gate as I didn't want to cover the lamb peeking in, but the flower sign is on the gate, just not as colorful anymore. Working on 98 LB Mixed Media paper watercolor and ink.

  1. Cris, I know this scene so well, having had the delight in sitting in your garden numerous times now. The lambs were so cute there, the turkeys perhaps less so. LOL Your painting is so picture perfect! Welcome here at Paper, Paint, Pencils & Pens. I look forward to more art from you my friend. (Cris and I met on line sharing art! And it's very cool when blog friends become real life friends as well!)

  3. Cris, this is lovely!!! I see that we will be lucky to share some of the wonderful/not so wonderful visitors and activities that will be going on there. Turkeys and sheep...my, my. What did the chickens think of that? How great that you and Lynn are close enough that after you met online you became friends! I have been lucky enough to become friends with a few people on line from other countries and then actually get to meet them. The internet has really changed our lives in a lot of ways.
