Sunrise, Sunset, Lynn Cohen
I've been pouring over an art book about Hunderwasser's art! I'm awe struck by his lines and colors so decided to steal a tiny hint of what he does for this theme this week. If you aren't familiar with him look him up! Let me know what you think!

Oooh, I like this!
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteThanks, Lynn, for introducing Hunderwasser. Love him. He is certainly reminiscent of Klimt (to me)m whose works I love. How did you find him? Just double checked dates and see that Klimt was quite a bit earlier than Hundertwasser. Both are Austrian slos.
ReplyDeleteLater - I just saw that he was influenced by Klimt!
I found a book about him in a flea market a few years ago and just dug it out recently! Can't stop reading it and pouring over his colorful drawings! Interesting man! Title is his name!
Deletethis is different - really appealing to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandy.
DeleteSort of naive art, childlike simplicity, loving the bold colors.
ReplyDelete'Childlike simplicity' is how Hunderwasser's art was described! Thanks for that compliment!
DeleteI adore Hunderwasser's art! He is one of my favorites and I, too, have a book of his works. What a talented fellow and you have captured the feeling of his work beautifully. I know you must have had a great time painting this with all the vivid color and the use of line. You did a great job. genie
ReplyDeleteStriking, Lynn! I don't know him, but his work is really nice!
