In case you can't read the writing on the drawing I drew this tree through the car window this morning while Fred went to the ATM for cash before going to Starbucks to draw. I painted it at Starbucks.
It's a grand old tree!
I drew it for HERE!
I have been enjoying your drawings and paintings, Lynn, both here and on your website! I'm a fellow Sketchbook Skool lover. Do you mind sharing your mediums? Do you use watercolors and if so, what brand? Your colors always look so vibrant. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Jane Cobb to Paper, Paint, Pencils & Pens. Happy to see you here and hope you'll want to join us by adding your art to our pages! I use mostly ink, my pen of choice here and lately is the Hybrid Technica by Pentel, comes in various sizes and has refills, cost $3-$4. My colors are Koi and Winsor & Newton watercolor paint. I also like using Primacolor watercolor pencils and Pentel water brush; and Winsor & Newton watercolor Markers, and Pitt Markers. Again, good seeing you here, do come again.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Lynn! I appreciate your thorough answer. Also, just to say more about what I like about your work -- you draw confidently, (without pencil no less!), unabashedly, and joyfully. You don't seem to get mired in striving for perfection. I really admire that and aspire to do more of that in my own work. Cheers, Jane
DeleteP.S. And thanks for the invitation to join you. I' giving it some thought. --I don't always have as much time to draw and paint as I'd like.
Jane, I'm a student of the Danny Gregory of SBK, but knew of him prior and so am "programmed' to only draw in ink! I appreciate your kind words. I consider myself still to be a novice artist, but am glad you think my art shows confidence! I do just put it out there, the good, the bad and the ugly! I'm hoping everything I do is one more step towards getting better.
DeleteOur themes here change every two weeks. There's no pressure to do them all. People pop in and out and back again all the time. If you decide you want to join in the fun just send me your email address and I'll send you an invite. ( lynnc66@comcast.net) and if not thanks again for your visit and comments!
