Clothes and Shoes, Lynn Cohen
This is from a photo of my uncle and aunt on their wedding day in 1945 or 6. Uncle Harry is wearing his army uniform. Her dress looked very pretty and floral. It doesn't really look much like either of them, except for his red hair! Sweet memories of a couple, who have departed this earth, Mimi in 2013 and Harry last week at ages 95 and 96.5 respectfully. They are greatly missed. (I did this first for Every Day in August: Prompt, "Beloved Elders")
I posted another guy in more casual dress in the post right before this one.

Love your sketch.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear of your loss. What a beautiful tribute.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful tribute. Blessings, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYour Aunt and Uncle would be very honoured you did this drawing of them I'm sure. From what you have said, they were great supporters of your art. I like that you kept it crisp with pen against white background, but put that pop of colour for your Uncle's hair :-)
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely pen drawing of your loved ones Lynn!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your sweet comments.
