This is a great painting CL, I like your snow splattering too.
ReplyDeleteLove your bison. Were you at Yellowstone at -66 degrees. Brrr. What a cool park Yellowstone is. We got stuck in a bison traffic jam when we were there.
ReplyDeleteHello Erika! I used to live near Yellowstone Park. We used to see temperatures as low as -40F. However, I have never gone into the park in the wintertime as I would have had to go in as a group on a snowmobile & I don't ride them. You have to ride over a very narrow mountain pass to get to the park in winter...very scary! So I choose not to do that, lol. I researched the coldest temperature recorded because I thought people might be interested in knowing that.
ReplyDeleteI never knew those facts about Yellowstone Park!! -- thanks for sharing that :-)
DeleteThanks, Ann! That is why I shared the HARD FACTS because we get a lot of visitors in the summer, but very few people know what it is like to actually live here in the WINTER where we have snow ending in June (sometimes in July during the 4th of July parade), then a brief summer break & in September we usually get our first snow.
DeleteWelcome CL. We love Yellowstone and have shared many a road with these highly respected magnificent beasts!
ReplyDeleteYour drawing is excellent!
Thanks Lynn! Many thanks to Ann & you for letting me join your site! Yes, I have a lot of respect for the wildlife here. Glad you liked my bison painting! I posted another one to see if I was doing it correctly so the Art Museum made it to the proper place.
