The town you grew up in, Minstead, Ann Hyde

.....well, not quite the town, Minstead is a village and this is their little church.  Really cute inside too, it has separate seating areas and little fireplaces.  It's also the final resting place of Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame.

  1. I like all those paths up to the church. How lovely that is his Holmes resting place too. Another wonderful Ann Hyde painting!

    1. Aww, Thanks Lynn. The church has meaning for me too in that my Grandparents are buried there ;)

  2. Nice sketch! They must get a lot of curious visitors who want to visit and see Doyle's burial place.

    1. Yes they do. When someone is wandering around they know who they are looking for. In fact Doyle was buried firstly in a different County and was transferred years later to Minstead. His second wife (I think) arranged it.
