Ten minute drawing, Banks Street house, by Elaine (jaguarish)

I drew this house (well, its upper half anyway) in about ten minutes (I was hiding from the heat in my car and this is all I could see from my spot).  I really like this continuous line technique as it seems to help me be selective about which details and major shapes to include -- I rarely have the discipline to simplify like this otherwise, strangely enough.  I drew it for this week's Urban Sketchers' theme, chimneys and smokestacks.

  1. What a great continuous line drawing...and a pretty house too!

  2. Love this continuous line drawing! I agree with you that this kind of sketching makes you be more selective about the details you add.
