Flowers 2, Maggie Latham, Watercolour

Loose and quick watercolour on Arches 140lb CP stretched pad.



I’m so glad that Arches came out with a small (8x8 inches) square stretched 140lb pad, as it makes everything so much easier when using lots of water. Woke up in a bright mood today and wanted to paint something bright using Quinacridone Magenta and Quinacridone Red (W&N) to see what colour this produced. Very quick one before breakfast.


Here it is in a mat.....colours are off because of the lamp.

    Maggie such beauty of a flower picture and soft. Love it. I am way behind I am afraid. I am into so much of other things I am afraid. I am trailing.

    Everyone's work is so advance and such brilliance in the flower theme especially.

    Love the loose watercolor style and the reds! Very good painting and use of watercolor techniques.
