I had a quick go at the selfie today -- while minding kids in the park -- also trying to use my new ArtGridCard. I didn't measure everything carefully but used the grid lines to help me position some of the major shapes. Result: a bit creepy... (as someone else said!) I'm afraid I probably would have done better without a grid in this case, but I was keen to try the grid card out! I'll have to try again when I can concentrate better and try harder. Do feel free to use my photo if you want to have a try with my face.

Well done Elaine, I reckon you did a good painting here. Everyone seems to have taken up this theme so well. Thanks for saying we can use your photo, I'll give this a try (bearing in mind I am not comfy with portraits), lol. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have done a nice selfie painting. Thank you, Elaine, I will give a try with your photo!
ReplyDeleteWow! Sorry you find it "creepy", I find it "arty"! Thanks for sharing photo too!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it it's creepy at all, and I'll have to check out the grid cards, sounds interesting. Great job, especially since you did it at the park with your kids!
ReplyDeleteI think this came out pretty well, Elaine! I will have to give your portrait a try too.
ReplyDeleteYou have caught your gaze perfectly. I agree, not creepy! I see an intense, engaged look at the world.
