Cups and Mugs, "Our Wedding Cup", Lynn Cohen
I may have drawn this mug before, perhaps on this blog even, not sure. But thought I better get into the swing of things and do an actual MUG. We bought two of these, but only have one left, the day we married, in 1985 on April 1st. (April Fool's Day in the USA). We said we were "just a couple of April Fools gone off to make an honest couple of ourselves!" We sent out announcements received on April 1 and no one knew if we were serious or not. The phone was ringing off the hook when we came home, as we had eloped alone (after living together for five years). And that is my story and I am sticking to it.

Love your drawing. It's a lovely story and I think it is great that you eloped without telling anyone. (although I hope they forgave you once the shock subsided, lol) ;)
