Buildings around the world, Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium, by Elaine (jaguarish)

A late post on the buildings theme... sorry but somehow I did not manage to get to do one until today!  The planetarium is set in the beautiful surrounds of the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens.  For these two sketches I had fun trying my fattest pen (Copic Ciao) with my biggest sketchbook (A3 size) to see what would happen.  I really enjoyed working in such a big format!  And because the paper is pretty low quality I didn't feel compelled to make a "precious" drawing but instead employed a very loose style.

  2. wow! You got the shape so perfectly --- I am amazed at the depth you can create with just a bit of crosshatching and line shading.
