One of the places my husband and I visited along the east coast of the United States is Charleston, SC. It is a city filled with gorgeous houses and mansions. We were walking down along the Battery by the mansions and there was a young boy, about 10 years old who was making things by folding dried palm fronds. We were so impressed that he was able to fold them into such interesting things. He had a giraffe, a horse, a bird, a turtle, and a rose. My husband bought a bouquet of roses for me...I only sketched one of them for you.

It amazes me how people can fold paper into such realistic shapes. Love your drawing of this rose Joan.
ReplyDeleteWonderful treasure full of memories for you Joan. I like your pencil work here. You captured the knot so well.
