Music and Musicians, Cher, Jez Eden
My quick sketch of Cher was drawn when we were watching the DVD of 'Tea with Mussolini', one of our favourite films, and I love Cher.
I just thought her hat was so fantastic and ridiculous, and it framed her face beautifully. When she sat in an open-topped car for moment or two I managed to sketch her. I promise I didn't stop the DVD.

Nice line sketch of Cher! I love her too. We went to see her in concert when she was doing her first "retirement tour." She was great!
ReplyDeleteGlad we have the same tastes. How lucky to see her and hear her sing. My other 'if only' id Dolly Parton, Dev's favourite.
DeleteOn stopping the DVD, like you I have tried this with an animal DVD, BUT IT's always past the point I wanted, or blurred. And id I try reversing itvgoes back forever.
Wow Jez, this is a great sketch.
ReplyDeleteThank you Fran. I do love it myself.
DeleteShe looks like an old-time movie star in your sketch. Love the dramatic curves you've drawn, perfect for her.
ReplyDeleteAt that point in the film the period was 1938/9. Thank you Margaret.
DeleteYou are an amazing artist Jez! You captured the essence of Cher perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lynn.
