Time Away from Home, Fiat 126 by Mia

Summer 2012 we traveled to the Hungary, with my boyfriend and he's father. Budapest was very beautiful city with its glorious architecture. We spent there about 4 days, if I remember right. The second last day we bought Fiat Polski 126, which is very small car, especially if you planning to travel it with two big men and you, about 2 000 kilometers, back to Finland.

Anyway, it was the most memorable trip I have ever done! We traveled from Hungary through Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, back to Finland, for about three days. I even slept a nap in the back seat! :D

This is my very first car drawing. I didn't use rubber, so I didn't reach the proportions very well. Perhaps this is intended to emphasize the smallness of the car ;P

    1. Thank you! It is veeery small! Yes, but now something is wrong with it, as always seems to be in those old cars. It should be repaired.

  5. That sounds like a wonderful trip. I love reading about other people's vacations and adventures. I am sure the car felt that small even if it was not.

  7. A great sketch, it made me smile, particularly what you said about it showing how you felt about it. It's a good memory of what must have been a fantastic trip.

  8. This picture makes me giggle. Because I do not see a small car.I see a giant of a man! LOL I just do. It's a wonderful picture and so well done. I hope that giant does not crush the little car.

    1. Haha!! It's funny how we all see art with our own eyes! Actually that giant man was our friend and translator there, he didn't traveled with us, but he had good memories of Fiat 126 and in the picture he admired our new car.
It's very nice to draw directly on the marker, because then you may make mistakes that may turn interesting way, like this.. And there can be many different ways to interpret the pic.
