Human Beings and How They Spend Their Time, "Practice" by Joan Tavolott

Just like I'm always sketching for practice, golfers always seem to be practicing their strokes. I may always seem to have a pencil in my hand or pocket, but they always seem to have a few golf balls. I was passing the local green in West Sayville and just knew there would be someone there.

  1. oh Joan I have to say. You never miss a beat on your walks. This is so right on what spring and summer is for guys. So you brought it on
full swing. Look at his face expression. The feet and legs in position. Your amazing.

Did you ever golf Joan or your hubby? I know many ladies used to till old Arthur got in the way. Short for Arthritis .

    1. Thanks so much! I have seen people there when the ground is covered in snow and there is just a tiny clear spot to stand on. lol We've never played...not much into sports that require us to move. lol My biggest activity is walking or on rare occasions going out dancing. I save my energy for sketching and painting.

  2. This is great. I see this every day as there is a golf course about 3/4 blocks away. I never thought to go there and try to sketch. Awesome job.

    1. Thanks. Since he wasn't actually playing he kept coming to the same spot to swing, so he was fairly easy to sketch.

  4. And sure enough there was, and you again captured him in action beautifully!

  5. With the guy in his red sweater and the bare tree you really captured the look of an early spring morning. Good job.

  6. Lovely moment of capturing his stance and concentration, and I love the loose, colourful watercolour painting.
