I could not get excited about drawing anything in my kitchen. So, I took some elements that I liked and combined them into this drawing. First there is the window which is from my daughter's house. The lamp is one I found in an antique store. There is my favorite cup and my grand daughter's cat, except that in reality, he is coal black.
We are all eagerly waiting for spring to show us some green so of course I put lots of green things outside my window. There are actually a few signs of spring here. Some of the flowering trees are actually blooming and the trees are budding and spraying green pollen grains all over my car. But that's OK. Spring is on its way.
This is my first time to post on Paper, Paint, Pencils and Pens. I think I am going to like it.
Fran Welcome! Many of us have been drawing Cups this week. Yours is a lovely design plus I like the steam coming off the beverage inside.
ReplyDeleteYour cat is adorable. The whole piece comes together quite well. You could have called it Kitchen Window with no problem whatsoever. ;-)
Thank you Lynn.
DeleteFran, nice to see you here! Your imaginary kitchen is beautiful. The colors are fine, as usually And the certains are waiting for the spring. Just as we all are!
