    1. I know Lisa, doesn't seem fair does it. Us having all green. And those back east getting more snow. Thanks for the comment. :)

  3. Cris, you already know how charming I find your art journals to be. These pages no exception. And I know Con personally, and I can tell everyone here that this is just how he looks too! He is a hard worker, industrious all the time, and the fields and yards look so well because of his hard work, and YOURS TOO!!! I think Annie helps as well.

  4. It's lovely to see your journal pages Cris. The grass here is growing and has had one cut so far, amazing how quickly it all starts again after a long Winter isn't it. I see from your journal page that Annie is keeping watch...counting sheep perhaps and keeping an eye on the cutting at the same time :-)

    1. Thanks Ann, it IS amazing how fast that grass gets going once spring hit. The good thing, or bad thing, how ever you look at it..the field grass dries out by July and no more growing so no more mowing.

  5. I am surprised at how green you are in Oregon since all our cold weather seems to come from the northwest. But good, it is nice to see that spring is beginning. Great pages.

    1. This year the snow has gone up and over us so we have a bit of a drought going on here in Oregon. Not enough snow in the mountains to melt for farmers, which isn't good thing for food crops. We got enough rain to keep us green for now.. Thanks Fran.

  6. Cris, I love these sketches of the field being plowed. You caught the action perfectly! Glad to see that spring is arriving there. We have sunshine here today (yeah!) but it is still a bit chilly. No way could I go out in shirtsleeves...but I did walk this morning without my hat. lol

  7. Thanks Joan. Well today I am outside in sunshine bundled up..no shirt sleeves today. It comes and goes these shirt sleeve days. Lol and con is usually the warm one.

  11. The combination of the story behind the paintings, and the great sketches themselves makes a lovely page.

  12. Stories always help the viewer get into the scene, and yours are great! Nice journal. . . and Annie watching you is a nice touch!
