The Summerhouse in our back garden is being tidied up ready for the warmer weather. Thought I would do a quick sketch of it as we were out there.

Nice sketch of the summerhouse! What is the summerhouse used for? I'm thinking it would be a great art studio!!
ReplyDeleteOooo yes, a great place for painting. I wish I had a place like this. I also like that little ornament in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteCharming little cabin in your back yard Ann. How do you use it? A getaway place for you or your husband? It looks like a small log cabin. Did you build it? Curious!!! Sweet painting!
ReplyDeleteSweet sketch of your summerhouse! And naturally I am curious too, for what you are using it, to cook perhaps, to eat, to paint... Many purposes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joan, Fran, Lynn and Sirkka - we use this to relax in the back garden...out of the sun for me on very hot days (I can't take the heat, well not directly) so relaxing in the shade here is just right. I do take my sketchbook and paints up there too, so I have something to keep me occupied, but haven't set it up as an art studio, perhaps I should. Yes, we did build it....not personally, friends from a local farm do odd jobs and were willing to take on the complex putting together (with us directing) lol. Fran, the ornament in the foreground is a weather dial and on sunny days it actually is accurate :-)
ReplyDeleteWHOOPS! I meant SUN DIAL not weather dial, lol.
Deleteoh what a charming little place. I would love to see photos of it on your blog.
ReplyDeleteI'll do that Cris. I need to catch it with more flowers in the garden I think and on a nice sunny day. I'll make a note to do it but remind me if I forget.
DeleteAwesome little cabin in your backyard how fun! Great
ReplyDeleteLovely little house, Ann!
