Buddha in the Garden 81/2x11 |
I love drawing with pencil. But I love color too. I wanted to draw the Buddha statue from my small garden. I posted a sketch earlier in the month of this garden with its azalea and bouganvilla, but the statue just did not work out well.
I started this pencil drawing soon after. I used drawing paper which is best for pencil but when I added the watercolor for the flowers, the paper wrinkled a bit adding a few extra shadows. Oh well, they work in well.

DeleteI love the contrast between the neutral statue and the bright colors of the flowering plants. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI love this style of both pencil and watercolour together, but in their own places...very good and the shadows created by the wrinkle paper is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann. Yes I was lucky that the shadows did not ruin the photo.
