Close to home Mowing by Cris Marlow

Sat outside with sketch book while my hubby mowed the back forty.
What do you do with an acre of land? Mow it. We have to get to it before it gets waist high and the Mower cant get thru it.  So he has to go thru soggy grass so he does it in stages. Annie sat in the inner yard to watch with her ball. I didn't put in the gate. Just wanted a memory of what I saw. Its not in proportion but it gets the point across for my journal.

  1. You are so good at these bucolic scenes Cris. I enjoy your story telling too. Nice of Con and Annie!

  2. Thanks Lynn. The stories are for me to remember a moment in time. A photo is nice but a sketch and story makes the memory last.

    1. Thanks Joan.. so sorry about the snow I know its probably getting tiresome. So I will try not to complain about the soaking green field hubby has to mow. :))
