A quick sketch about a London trip. For a long time ago. Now when I see the picture, I remember, that it was very warm weather and we had water bottles with us all the time. We got tired because we walked so much and saw many places, for example Tower, here in the background, Madame Tussouds Cabinet, The War Museum, a s o. Most of the time in London we spent at Hendon airport, because of the old historical airplanes. And it was ok. The Tower Bridge is impressive too. London taxi impressed most on me! They were friendly, serviceminded, and they drove with speed. London is beautiful with its many old buildings, with parks, with the climat. It did not rain when we were there.

I love this painting you just did of your memories from your trip to London. Thanks for the story that goes with it. The painting is so well done. I see their weariness in their expressions after a hard day of sight seeing! Great that you got London without rain. Rare I imagine. What time of year were you there?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lynn. It must have been sometimes in the summer, if it was spring och summer or autumn, I cant remember directly now. It was beautiful weather that time. Excuse my bad English Lynn, I am training every day with this blog yeat.
DeleteSirkka, I understand your English just fine. Glad your being on this blog helps your language progress!
DeleteThanks a lot Lynn! Yes, this blog helps me to practice and learn the language.
DeleteGood memories, I always find drawings bring them back far better than photographs. Love this one :-)
ReplyDeleteAnn, it is something true in this what you say, perhaps the drawings are more personally than photograps. Thank you and hope you can bear my simple English.
DeleteLovely sketch of the people with the London sights behind them. Great style to this! I am going to love hearing stories of the places everyone has visited or wants to visit.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is interesting to follow all stories and sketches. Thanks Joan!
DeleteGreat memories in this sketch. The two on the bench seem a tad tired and are resting just a bit before moving on. Very nice work Sirkka. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gloria! Yes, they are, it is a hard work to try to see so much as possible.
