Your water color is just beautiful. I love the way houses pop in the painting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole, just trying a different style here. Glad you like it.
Deletelove the freedom in this piece
ReplyDeleteMany thanks :)
DeleteI like this painting Ann. Nice and loose. All the best Ann.
ReplyDeleteVic.
Thanks Vic, I must admit I had fun painting this, it was like 'painting outside the rules' for me on this occasion.
DeleteBeautiful painting, Ann.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Jean, it was fun to paint.
DeleteLovely, loose painting! I think a storm may be coming, or recently passed. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy. This is the weather we get here, it comes in off the ocean very quickly, but then we do get about 15 minutes warning, lol :)
DeleteLovely, Ann!
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna, something very different for me this one!
DeleteBeautiful scene. Powerful! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you Simona. I put into this some techniques from various artists, Alvaro Castagnet for one, but put my own spin on it, particularly being my view across our little village :)
ReplyDeleteLove your great painting.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF xx
Thanks Sirkkis :)
DeleteMuch as I've tried I don't seem to paint loosely.
ReplyDeleteYou've mastered it brilliantly Lynn.
Happy PPF to you
This compliment belongs to the brilliant artist, Ann Hyde!
DeleteOops my apologies Lynn and Ann. Lynn's right Ann... you're brilliant ;D
DeleteThat's okay Neesie, Lynn deserves credit for her artwork too :)
DeleteOh wow, Ann, a beautifully loose painting! The hard edge and value contrast on the rocks are so effective. When I grow up I want to paint like you!!:-) Every painting I attempt I set out to be loose... just to end up tight again. Sigh. But your work inspires me to keep trying. Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI love how the houses are nestled into the hillside and the splashing of waves in the background. Exciting piece, Ann.
