What I Observe by Joan Tavolott

So sorry for being absent for so long. Life got very busy. I'll try to do better in the future. I love the sketches posted for this theme. Happy New Year everyone!!! Wishing all of you a healthy, happy, inspired 2016.

I have so many sketches that could be posted here, but I'll just do a few. I have gotten into doing digital sketches on my iPad with a program called Artrage. The first and last sketches were done on my iPad, one at a cafe and the last one on the railroad going into the city. The group of Steelers fans were in a bar where my urban sketching group went to share our sketches for the day. Of course Lynn will recognize the third one done at Starbucks.

  2. Not sure I was clear - the "look" of the sketches done that way adds some dimensionality or something to the appearance of the sketches - of course I also like the sketches themselves!

  3. Love all your sketches....you have a knack with those digital ones, perhaps I need to look at that app., maybe I'll be able to figure it out. Thanks for sharing your sketches Joan, always a delight to see them.

  4. Thanks, Donna. I've just started doing the digital sketches. Luckily a friend gave me a mini lesson on the program I'm using. It is fun to see how they come out.

Ann, it is so different, but a lot of fun. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing all the sketches. Have (or by this time you're already celebrating) a Happy New Year!
