Posting the last sketch of the Viet Nam Memorial made me remember I had done another one. This is a local Viet Nam Memorial that we have here on Long Island. When I sketched it I had never even seen it before although I knew there was one here. When you visit it you are up on one of the few high hills we have here on Long Island. I always find these memorials to veterans so emotional.

ReplyDeleteWow, it looks like a flag has been draped over the monument. And yes, extremely emotional!
ReplyDeleteThey are emotional! I love it. Wonderful to remember these men and women.
ReplyDeleteThis is a most interesting blog. I enjoyed the creativity of the art here. I have not seen a memorial quite like that. Blessings, Janet PPF
ReplyDeleteMany, many thanks Ann, Elaine, Studio Kaufmann, Lynn, Jennifer and JKW for your comments. I thought this was such an unusual shaped memorial.
