Memorials by Joan Tavolott

Posting the last sketch of the Viet Nam Memorial made me remember I had done another one. This is a local Viet Nam Memorial that we have here on Long Island. When I sketched it I had never even seen it before although I knew there was one here. When you visit it you are up on one of the few high hills we have here on Long Island. I always find these memorials to veterans so emotional.

  4. Wow, it looks like a flag has been draped over the monument. And yes, extremely emotional!

  7. Many, many thanks Ann, Elaine, Studio Kaufmann, Lynn, Jennifer and JKW for your comments. I thought this was such an unusual shaped memorial.
