Wild Life "The Loving Couple", Lynn Cohen

I took a photo of these burrowing owls, who I call "The Loving Couple" a few years ago. They live in burrows that squirrels dig in an open field near a golf course across the street from auto dealerships in Vacaville. CA. We often drive by to visit the owl families there. Just pull up to the curb, open the car window and talk to them, and shoot photos to our hearts content. My original photo that I drew this from won a prize and was in a juried art show, I am proud to tell you. Now I have them again in ink and water soluble colored pencils and water brush! And they have made it into the London Times newspaper!!! They are quite famous!

Two more days to post your Wild Life drawings and then we move on to our next theme suggested by Ann Hyde: Cups and Mugs Get out your cutlery, the pretty ones, the old faithful ones, the delicate ones, the sturdy ones. And don't forget you can also think outside the box!

NEW THEMES: We only have one more theme suggest by Arnoldo so please put on our thinking caps and come up with new themes for September and October!
