For some strange reason I haven't been doing many buildings lately.
This was painted the other day at the Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay.
The arboretum is a former Gold Coast estate on 409 acres of land. The 65 room mansion, Coe Hall, had these wonderful arches along one side of the house.
I love the way you did the bricks with just a suggestion of the lines. Your shadows are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting! There is light and shadows and space.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Joan! Sirkka put it so well: light and shadows and space.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and so pleased you added the location :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Beach Cat, Sirkka, Margaret and Ann! It had a peaceful feel to it.
