Now I have filled several pots with plants I had on my porch. Some pots are allready out like this here, which is placed by the entrance way. Most of the pots are waiting in the greenhouse some days more. But soon they´ll be out too.
I hope this my little break in posting has been a creative break and am sure I will soon be enthusiastic for sketching and painting again.
Your garden painting is lovely Sirkka...I love the perspective.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann, I am glad you like it.
DeleteYou really have been working hard on your garden. Nice!!
ReplyDeleteYes, Joan, every spring there is a lot of work. Now it is done. Thanks!
DeleteLovely garden area. Your art always makes me want to look closer. Hope your break revived and refreshed you!
ReplyDeleteLynn, I hope I can take you closer to the motiv too. That I am hoping too, thanks!
DeleteSirkka, what a wonderful wide and far-ranging view! It reminds me for some reason of a beautiful castle garden. I can feel the distance in your painting.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Margaret! You are not so wrong, the whole this island has in 1200ies and some centuries later been a hunting area for the swedish kings. There is a castle too, but some kilometers far away from here. But all this is history, not today.
Deletewow, thank you for sharing this history! What a place you live in, Sirkka.
DeletePS what is the name of the island where you live?
DeleteMargaret, the island is named Åland (Aland islands), it contents a group of islands between Finland and Sweden where the Baltic Sea, Gulf of Finland and Gulf of Bothnia meet.
DeleteAh! I will go look at a map! And does your island have its own particular name?
DeleteI am living on the main island, called just Aland. I hope you´ll find it!
DeleteYes, I will go look!
