"Where I'd Like To Be", Away From Home, Lynn Cohen

Yesterday on Facebook, my son posted a photo of our youngest grand daughter, Allie Bel. She was making a big forced smile! He said "This is the face Allie wants you to make today!"
So I drew it.
We love our trips to Portland to visit this part of our family.
Allie is my grand daughter who was born deaf, but now hears with two Coccular Implants. (sp?)
And the reason I am learning ASL (American Sign Language)
She is a gem, and I miss her.

This is her first art she made with me using markers!

  2. This is so cute Lynn. Allie Bell must love it that her grand can draw and she can draw with you sometimes. Tell her I love her little painting.

  7. I love Allie's adorable face and her marker art. I've been swamped and haven't been able to sketch so I'm missing you all!

BTW, as a member of Paint My Photo, I'd like to point out that the photos ARE still copyright by the artist who took them. We allow others to use them freely to paint or draw from but have not given up ownership and use is limited. No selling them as photo DVDs, etc.

    1. Thanks Melisa, I've changed the description of usage and directed folks to the site to read the terms of use there.

  8. Allie looks a sweet jolly girl, and her first artwork is vigorous and colourful. You are clearly a born teacher who loves to get everyone involved in art. We did the same with our grandchildren, and have many happy memories of art visits and painting sessions.
