I bring you my traveling shoe bought while traveling in Oregon now in living color!
Came home from work at lunchtime to paint the drawing I did over breakfast this morning!
Want to see me with a very large head?
Tommy Kane, an artist who will be teaching at Sketchbook Skool in the coming weeks, and whose art I greatly admire "Liked" my drawing of Uncle Harry on the SK Facebook page!
I will be unbearable to live with forever more!
Ta!
I knew this would be great with the added color!!! How funky is that! I love it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being "Liked" by Tommy Kane! Are you strutting like a peacock??? LOL
Thanks, Joan, that did so put a special spark to my day! TK!
DeleteWow! the drawing was good, but this really POPS! I knew the painting of your Uncle was good, but Tommy Kane liking it - TOMMY KANE...WoW!.. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann. Funny how we bow to those we admire so. And to get a pat on the head is such a rush!
DeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it Fran.
DeleteWhew, what a shoe! I'd love to see them on! And congrats! I say let your head get big… :)
ReplyDeletethanks Margaret, and I did! ;-)
DeleteReally nice colors in your shoe, Lynn! Great, I think you will better see at them than use them:) Congratulations for being liked by this man I dont know but who seems to be very important there by you!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sirkka, well, I did wear them to the art workshop I took from Seth Apter in Oregon. Not sure anyone paid them much mind. But I felt like a cool, funky, old woman/former Hippie! LOL
DeleteI'm sure people will be asking where you bought your shes when you wear them. Perhaps you should send a photo to the manufacturers and they might take it up for production! Great sketch and the wow yellow explosion around the shoe too. I love it. Like Sirkka I am a Tommy Kane virgin, but I send my congratulations too.
ReplyDeleteWell, Jez I am stoked that you thought I painted them myself. When I saw them I felt I had! Or could have. And that is why I bought them. You should seek out Tommy Kane's blog and art. I'm sure you'd admire it too; and Danny Gregory as well, in case you haven't met up with him and his art yet. He's the one who started Sketchbook Skool. I admire the art of both these guys.
DeleteLooking back I realised I had missed the drawing post because I was working backwards. Srry, I thought you had drawn the designs on the shoe.
ReplyDeleteI accept that as a huge compliment. Shoes and design by Converse however! ;-)
DeleteOh these are right up my alley. Love your shoes. I have two pairs of Converse. One pair is the regular Chuck Taylor and the other I had special made with my name on them and they are ""Lime green".:) I did a post on them before. Love your shoes, great work on both of them.
ReplyDeletei can imagine you so happy lynn. this shoe with its paint and ink is phenomenal!!
